Protecting premium content
Secure viewer, watermarking, content access, and leak tracing.
Premium video and documents can be served through a secure viewer that discourages copying and lets you trace leaks back to a source.
How protection works
- Protected media opens in a secure viewer, not as a plain downloadable file.
- A subtle watermark carrying the learner's identity is overlaid on the content.
- Access is checked per learner, so only entitled users can open it.
Manage access and trace leaks
- Open Content Access in the sidebar.
- Review who has access to protected content.
- If leaked material surfaces, use the leak-trace tools to match the watermark back to the account it was issued to.
Setting it up
Marking a program's media as secure is part of the program content step (see Creating a program). Protected delivery relies on platform infrastructure your operations team configures (secure storage and processing).
Note: Protection raises the cost of copying and makes leaks attributable — it deters misuse rather than making content mathematically impossible to capture.
